I wanted to take a moment to address a topic that’s important to me as a professional in the cosmetic industry – the stigma around having botox and why we should embrace the beauty of this treatment without feeling shame.

There is SO much shame attached to having Botox, and it makes me feel so sad (and cross!) for my clients.

Over the years, botox has unfortunately been subjected to negative connotations and misconceptions. Some may associate it with an unnatural, “frozen” appearance or view it as something to be ashamed of.

It doesnt help that even though 95% of celebrities are having it done, they choose to pretend they’re simply using olive oil (Im looking at J-Low here…) which makes the rest of us feel like were ageing faster or doing something wrong, which isnt true or fair.

However, as someone who has seen the positive impact botox has on my clients’ lives, I want to highlight why there is no reason to feel shame about seeking this treatment.

My clients feel happier, more attractive and more confident to go about and enjoy their lives day to day after having a little tweak with some botox. Why should anyone feel ashamed of that?!

First and foremost, it’s important to remember that botox is a personal choice, and I totally get that it is not for everyone. But theres absolutely no reason for anyone to be judgemental about it. Some people do, some people dont, either is absolutely OK and quite frankly noone elses business!

Botox is a safe and FDA-approved treatment that has been used for decades to temporarily relax facial muscles and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. When administered by a skilled and experienced medical injector (Hello, I’m here!), botox can achieve subtle and natural-looking results that allow you to maintain your facial expressions and look like the best version of yourself.

There is no shame in taking care of yourself and prioritising your well-being, including your physical appearance.

Just as we exercise, eat healthily, and take care of our skin with skincare routines, incorporating botox into your self-care routine is simply another way to feel good about yourself and boost your confidence.

It’s also important to challenge the notion that seeking cosmetic treatments, including botox, is solely driven by vanity.

For many of my clients, botox is about feeling more comfortable and confident in their own skin, boosting their self-esteem, and improving their quality of life. When we feel good about ourselves, it positively impacts our mental and emotional well-being, and that is something to be celebrated, not shamed.

In my practice, I am proud to provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment where my clients can feel comfortable expressing their aesthetic goals without fear of stigma or shame.

I believe that everyone deserves to feel confident and empowered in their own skin, and I am here to support you on that journey.

So, let’s break the stigma around botox and embrace the beauty of this treatment, it’s not used by millions of people every year to not be celebrated!

You deserve to feel confident, empowered, and unapologetically yourself.
